- Design and develop ETL processes using Talend to integrate data from various sources.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
- Create and maintain data mappings, workflows, and transformations.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing Talend jobs to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Perform data quality checks and implement data cleansing procedures.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes and data integration solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Stay updated with the latest Talend features and industry best practices.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Architect, ETL Developer, or in a similar role, with a focus on ETL process design, data warehousing, and analytics.
- Data Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and data migration. Hands-on experience with reverse ETL processes and best practices for incremental data loads is essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SQL and PLSQL, with proficiency in writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex queries. Knowledge of other data tools like Informatica, Alteryx, and Snowflake will be an added advantage.
- ETL Tools: Proficiency with Talend and a solid understanding of streamlining ETL jobs for continuous and near real-time data ingestion.
- Quality Processes: Familiarity with quality assurance processes, including error logging and auditing, as well as estimation techniques to forecast data needs and project outcomes.
- Scripting: Efficiency in scripting to support data extraction, transformation, and loading across different platforms and data sources.
- Problem-solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying and solving complex data-related issues.
- Team Collaboration: Must be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills. You should be flexible and willing to learn new domains and technologies as required.
- High-Quality Deliverables: Proven ability to deliver high-quality results while troubleshooting and resolving data inconsistencies and errors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Talend Consultant or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Talend Data Integration and Talend Data Management tools.
- Experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Talend certification is a plus.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is an advantage.
