Job Title: SAP Production Planning

Work Location: Remote (EST Time zone)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled SAP Production Planning Consultant to develop, support, and enhance SAP functionalities, primarily focusing on the production planning modules. This role requires collaboration with local and global IT teams, offering first and second-level SAP support, participating in system design, integration analysis, and conducting comprehensive testing. You will work closely with SAP analysts to identify the resolve system issues while ensuring that business processes are optimized and aligned with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide SAP support for the local IT team, focusing on SAP Production Planning.
• Collaborate with both local and corporate SAP analysts to identify and resolve system issues. Work closely with ABAP developers to address reported technical issues and troubleshoot functional problems.
• Communicate issues effectively and escalate unresolved concerns to the appropriate IT groups, including second-line support.
• Analyze and review current operational procedures, identifying issues and areas for improvement. Work closely with internal teams to understand requirements for data inputs, reporting formats, and how information will be utilized.
• Develop business requirements specifications to ensure solutions align with operational goals and objectives.
• Prepare workflow charts and business process diagrams to document systems configurations and procedures.
• Lead efforts in systems and integration design, analysis, and testing to ensure system functionalities are operating optimally.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans for functional, integration, and regression testing of SAP systems.
• Act as a project coordinator on enterprise-wide development initiatives, preparing project plans, monitoring progress, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Assist in time and cost estimations for project execution, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Prepare system requirements documents, technical specifications, technical reports, and user manuals to support systems development and configuration processes. 
• Provide timely solutions and communicate effectively with stakeholders during the rollout of new features and functionality.
   

Role of SAP Production Planner:

• Served as the primary coordinator for SAP Production Planner module development, including project management, testing, and deployment of solutions.
• Lead system configurations and customizations to meet business process requirements, with a focus on Materials BOMs, capacity planning, and production orders.
• Conduct functional and integration testing to ensure the successful implementation of system changes.
   

Qualification:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
   

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in configuring and developing SAP PP solutions to support business processes.
• Proven experience in full-cycle SAP implementations for PP-PI (Process Industry) in at least 2 projects from initiation to closure.
• Expertise in SAP PP and its integration with other modules such as APO, MM, and QM.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and optimal performance.
   

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SAP PP module configuration, including materials requirements and capacity planning.
• Experience in the integration of PP with other SAP modules.
• Proficiency in SAP testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with business process analysis, workflow documentation, and technical specifications.
   

Soft Skills:

• Ability to multitask and manage complex projects with competing priorities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with SAP MM and QM modules is a strong asset.
• Previous experience in Professional Services or Distribution industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting business processes and their integration with SAP modules.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and the ability to collaborate with global teams.
