Job Title: SAP Consultant

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated SAP Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and supporting SAP solutions, with comprehensive knowledge of business processes and industry best practices. As an SAP consultant, you will serve as the subject matter expert and solution architect for S/4 HANA sales, specializing in EDI setup. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding and documenting business requirements, as well as developing and delivering tailored solutions.

Qualifications for the SAP Consultant Role:

SAP consultants' qualifications may vary depending on the consultancy type and industry, but they generally include the following:

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
• Additional coursework in business administration, finance, or project management is highly advantageous.
• Many consultants pursue advanced degrees, such as a Master’s in IT or Business Administration.
   

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with clients and management to assess business needs and pain points.
• Reviewing existing IT systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Designing, testing, and implementing SAP solutions to achieve business objectives.
• Configuring SAP systems, resolving technical issues, and ensuring seamless integration.
• Preparing and presenting progress reports.
• Creating user and technical documentation for SAP systems.
• Staying current on SAP products and industry developments.
   

Key Objectives:

• Work with clients to understand business requirements and develop SAP solutions that align with their goals.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP modules, such as SAP FICO, MM, SD, and PP, or other relevant modules.
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders and participate in project meetings.
• Conduct various testing phases, including UAT, Unit, and Regression testing, and lead training sessions for end-users.
   

Role-Specific Tasks:

• Collaborate with global accounts, customers, and teams to implement EDI solutions for sales operations.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for SAP users.
• Keep up with advancements in SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.
   

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting SAP solutions.
• Strong expertise in SAP FICO, MM, SD, PP, and other core SAP modules.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
   

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience interfacing SAP with non-SAP systems.
• Certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP Certified Development Associate.
• Hands-on experience with SAP PP configuration, customization, and deployment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of SAP technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
   

Training:

Many SAP consultants pursue specialized training and certification programs focusing on specific SAP modules or functionalities. These certifications demonstrate a consultant’s proficiency in implementing SAP solutions across various IT structures, enhancing their employability and expertise.
