    Job Title: OSS/BSS

    Work Location: Philadelphia, PA

     

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Telecom Architect with a proven track record in designing and architecting end-to-end IT solutions across OSS/BSS domains, specifically for large-scale global telecom operators offering B2B enterprise services and solutions.

    • Extensive experience in telecom IT architectures, solution and data design, consulting, and platform architecture across OSS/BSS domains, particularly within global telecom enterprises.
    • A minimum of 15+ years in the IT and telecommunications sector, with at least 9+ years focused on IT and telecom design, as well as OSS/BSS architecture.
    • Expertise in leading large-scale data migration projects within the telecom industry, with hands-on experience in resource and service inventory migrations.
    • Strong background in data modeling for resource products and databases, specifically with platforms like Granite XNG and Amdocs Network Inventory.
    • In-depth understanding and exposure to cloud solutions and architecture for IT transformation programs and digital initiatives.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of OSS/BSS sub-domains, including ordering, workflows, orchestration, fulfillment, fault and performance management, and ETL processes.
    • Proven ability to create and implement robust data governance frameworks, policies, and models for service and resource inventory domains.
    • Strong understanding of telecom services and products, including voice and data services, SDN, NFV, broadband, SMS, VPN services, and telecom domain networks.
    • Familiarity with telecom industry standards, best practices, and data governance principles.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, detailed technology and business artifacts, as well as reusable IT resources for future use.
    • Strong interpersonal abilities to thrive in dynamic, agile, and multicultural work environments.
       

    Job Responsibilities 

    • Develop and design solutions for OSS/BSS systems that align with both technical requirements and business objectives, while also considering limitations and constraints.
    • Select the most suitable technologies for the OSS/BSS framework, focusing on factors such as performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient integration between OSS and BSS platforms, facilitating accurate and timely data exchange.
    • Collaborate with business teams to gather and understand their needs, translating them into actionable technical specifications.
    • Manage relationships with internal teams, vendors, and clients, ensuring that all stakeholders' expectations are met throughout the project.
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery process of the OSS/BSS solution by coordinating with development, testing, and operations teams to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize the impact on the solution and the business.
    • Provide continuous support post-implementation, addressing any challenges or issues that arise to maintain optimal system performance.
    • Regularly review and enhance the OSS/BSS architecture to meet evolving business demands and improve overall system performance.
       

    Key Skills and Experience Required:

    • Extensive knowledge of OSS/BSS systems, including network technology (telecom, data, cloud), and experience in integrating these systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex architecture for OSS/BSS platforms.
    • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
    • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality standards.
    • Expertise in overseeing vendor partnerships, managing contracts, and ensuring vendor commitments are met.
    • Sharp analytical skills to resolve both technical and business challenges that may arise.
    • A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
    • Industry-recognized certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, or CCNP are highly advantageous.
    • Significant hands-on experience in designing and implementing OSS/BSS systems, particularly in solution architecture roles.
