- Install, configure, and maintain Hadoop clusters using Cloudera distribution.
- Monitor cluster performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage and support Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, and Spark.
- Implement and manage security policies, including Kerberos authentication and data encryption.
- Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure system reliability and security.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to optimize data processing workflows.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for cluster management and monitoring.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through backup and recovery processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Hadoop administration, preferably with Cloudera distribution.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, or Cloudera Manager.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH) certification.
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
