Job Title: ETL SSIS Consultant

Job Overview:                                               

The Data Warehouse ETL Developer will be responsible for managing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using Informatica within a Microsoft SQL Server environment. The role encompasses data warehouse reporting and the development of a federated dimensional model to support a growing online consumer subscription service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to deliver a scalable federated dimensional data model.
• Play a crucial role in integrating new data into the Data Warehouse by developing source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
• Engage in the full lifecycle of data warehouse projects, from requirements gathering through development and implementation phases.
• Led the development of Informatica ETL processes and Cognos Framework Manager (FM), cube, and report development.
• Prepare and maintain ETL documentation, including process specifications and data flow diagrams.
• Assist in defining logical and physical data models for B2C e-commerce systems.
• Optimize and fine-tune ETL infrastructure to enhance data warehouse performance, addressing any system or data-related issues.
• Drive new initiatives aimed at improving operational processes and maximizing system efficiencies.

Primary Skills:

• Significant experience in leading large-scale global transformation programs focused on business process management.
• Proficient in writing and executing complex SQL database queries.
• Skilled in building and integrating data into data warehouse systems.
• Strong background in data profiling and reconciliation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage, and SSIS.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Expertise in optimizing ETL workflows and recommending performance improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deploy complex data management solutions, particularly in data migration, integration, and data quality initiatives.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing, orchestration, parallelization, transformations, and ETL principles.
• Familiarity with various programming languages and data crawling/processing tools to ensure data quality, reliability, and efficiency (optional).
• Experience working with cloud-based data tools such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, or Data Lake.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, with an added advantage of experience in Talend Cloud.
• Proficient in using Autosys for job scheduling and automation.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies.
• Comfortable working within Unix systems.
   

Preferred Skills:

• Extensive experience with ETL development, specifically with Informatica and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Strong background in business intelligence and reporting tools, preferably with Cognos BI tools (Framework Manager, PowerPlay, ReportNet, Metric Studio).
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS, SQL queries, and stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, methodologies, and database design principles.
• Previous experience working in the e-commerce industry with knowledge of web analytics.
• Proficiency in using data modeling tools such as ER/Studio.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Familiarity with BizTalk 2020 (EAI) and SSIS (ETL), with experience in XML, XSLT, and .NET technologies.
• Exposure to APIM is beneficial but not required.
   

Required Technical Expertise:

• 4-12 years of SAP functional experience, specializing in designing and configuring SAP modules using PI (Process Integration).
• Expertise in SAP Cloud Platform technologies, including PI, APIM, and DI, with experience in migration work (BizTalk/SSIS to SCP-PI).
• Experience in cloud application integration, both cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-premise.
• Strong skills in Groovy scripting, Java, XSLT, XML, and web services.
• Demonstrable experience using PI/PO tools and mapping editors with proficiency in various mapping styles (Graphical, Java, XSLT).
• CI/CD knowledge is a plus.
