    Job Description:

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Datadog to join our team in either St Louis, MO, or Denver, CO. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration, monitoring, and optimization of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, coupled with hands-on experience in using Datadog for monitoring and analytics.     Job Requirements:

    • At least 8+ years. of experience managing large projects with the below experiences. 
    • Experience in working with large teams in an Onsite/Offshore model.
    • Working experience in Datadog
    • Good Communication skills
    • Support the applications and technologies impacting daily operations of the business, promptly.
    • Responsible & accountable for triaging and escalating production issues causing outages.
    • Adhere to processes, and company policies, required to deliver high-quality services to clients & partners.
    • Integrate new applications to dashboards as needed.
    • Maintain, Optimize, and Revamp dashboards and alerts to avoid oversight critical errors.
    • Support Maintenance and Upgrade activities
       

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support various data processing and analytics needs. Ensure data is collected, processed, and made available for analysis in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize Datadog to monitor the performance and health of data pipelines and infrastructure. Identify and resolve issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability.
    • Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and quality. Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data warehousing and analytics.
    • Performance Tuning: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reduce latency. Implement best practices for data management and ensure efficient use of resources.
    • Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. Foster a collaborative environment to drive data-driven decision-making.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, monitoring setups, and best practices. Ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.
       

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on using Datadog for monitoring and analytics.
    • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
    • Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
