Job Title: AEM Developer

Work Location: Irving, TX
 

Job Description: 

Develop and customize AEM components, templates, workflows, and forms. Write Java code for AEM applications. Integrate AEM with other systems and platforms using APIs. Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure responsive templates. Optimize AEM system performance and troubleshoot issues. Maintain documentation of AEM development processes. Stay updated with AEM best practices and industry trends. Work closely with designers and content creators for cohesive digital experiences. 

This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about web development, particularly in the areas of content management systems and digital platforms. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, responsible for building, managing, and optimizing AEM solutions that will enable our clients to provide top-tier digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AEM Development:
   
   • Design, develop, and implement solutions within the Adobe Experience Manager platform.
   • Develop custom components, templates, and workflows using AEM.
   • Build and maintain AEM-based websites, ensuring they meet best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
   • Customize and extend AEM features to meet the specific needs of projects and clients.
      
2. Collaboration & Teamwork:
   • Work closely with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and content strategists to ensure that digital experiences are consistent and intuitive.
   • Collaborate with marketing teams and other business stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals.
   • Work in an Agile environment, attending stand-ups, and sprints, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
      
3. Technical Expertise:
   • Troubleshoot, optimize and maintain AEM solutions.
   • Integrate third-party services and APIs with AEM to enhance functionality.
   • Ensure code quality and scalability by conducting regular code reviews and implementing best practices in development.
   • Maintain AEM instance health and performance by ensuring regular monitoring and addressing performance bottlenecks.
      
4. Digital Experience Optimization:
   • Support the continuous improvement of our digital platforms by incorporating analytics and feedback into future AEM development.
   • Ensure that all digital experiences are optimized for speed, responsiveness, and accessibility.
   • Leverage AEM’s personalization and targeting capabilities to enhance the user experience across various customer touchpoints.
      
5. Continuous Learning & Improvement:
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in Adobe Experience Manager and related technologies.
   • Be an active participant in internal and external AEM communities, sharing knowledge and best practices.
   • Continuously improve your skills by learning new programming languages, tools, and methodologies relevant to AEM and digital experience development.
      

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in AEM development.
• Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including Apache Sling, OSGi, and JCR.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful services.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
   

Preferred Skills:

• Adobe Certified Expert in AEM.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with other Adobe Experience Cloud products.
